Hungary F1 Grand Prix 2011
The 2011 Hungary Grand Prix marks the 200th Grand Prix for Jenson Button, and is also the scene of his first Grand Prix win, a win made in very similar weather conditions – overcast with intermittent rain – as the Hungaroring presented in 2011. A good omen, perhaps? As it turned out the often boring Hungarian Grand Prix was a properly good show.
Mercedes-Benz tuner Brabus is going to work on the new SLK200 and SLK250 roadsters, adding some power, exterior modifications and suspension upgrades. The four-cylinder SLKs aren't for sale in the United States right now, but the SLK250 is scheduled to arrive by February 2012. Currently no kits are offered for the V6-powered SLK350.
Porsche 918 Spyder production sketch
We first saw the Porsche 918 Spyder at the Geneva Motor Show in 2010; a hybrid supercar offering a gazillion miles to the gallon, Carrera GT levels of performance and fresh air from the exhaust pipe. The automotive equivalent of having your cake and eating it. By April last year our sources were telling us the 918 Spyder would go in to production after Porsche received 900 serious intents of interst on the car, and in June Porsche themselves confirmed the 918 Spyder would be built in limited numbers – just 918 cars for the world.
